OPERA LOVERS

A Passion of mine is Opera.   An exhibition about Opera would be fabulous.  But time seems to be running out and the chance of doing that for me is probably slim.  But in the past I have created some pieces  from those larger than life scenes from Opera that I love.  One of these pieces was chosen for the Black Swan Art Award.  I get a buzz out of setting these scenes in and around Perth and Victoria Park, using interesting buildings and landmarks.

Here are a sample of Opera Scenes’ put onto clay surfaces.

Tosca in Vic.Park    –   This is a diptych depicting the betrayed Tosca jumping off the Victoria Park Hotel.  The beautiful coloured tiles, featured in the buildings architecture, are not noticed unless one takes a photograph and sees them up close.
